I was scrolling to view my steps and all of a sudden it just turned off and died. 

 

It will not take a charge and it had plenty of battery.

 

Concerned some as my app can’t locate it now either. 

 

Any assistance as I tried the hard factory reset, but no dice.

At least it has a reason not to sync. Sorry for your loss but wish mine would die so I can go shopping for a Garmin or whatever as I am done with Fitbit!
