Need Help with HR, Notifications, Exercise, and More

I am a first time Fitbit device owner and I have to say that I am really disappointed with the Ionic. I have owned Ionic since November and still these critical issues have not been fixed. No firmware updates for over two months is just awful...
The biggest problems for me are:
- Incorrect heart rate values! Especially at the start of the training the heart rate shows really high values (Ionic shows 146bpm, reality is closer to 100bpm as I am not even close to being out of breath). It must be a software bug, because the 24/7 heart rate seems to be mostly correct. And yes, I have tried the usual workaround to fix the heart rate values, but they don't work.
- The notifications are not synchronized with your phone. Why do I need to manually clear the notifications by scrolling to the end of the notifications list? It should be cleared and synchronized automatically with your phone.
- Not enough exercise types and options! There are lots of sport types missing. Also more options to customize sport tracking would be nice. The Ionic has a nice display and you still cannot show four data types simultaneously on screen!
- The applications are very basic! Honestly I bought the Ionic because it was supposed to be a "smartwatch", but it seems to me that the API for application developers is very limited.
- The software on Android is really simplified. Especially investigating heart rate details are very limited on the application. Also the App Gallery usability is just bad. No advanced search options and you always have to scroll the whole list of applications from the beginning of the list.

Luckily the sync issues were fixed with the latest Android application. I have Oneplus 3T (running Android 8.0.0 Oreo).

I like the hardware, clock faces, sleep tracking and looks of the Ionic, but if the software is this bad I will sell the Ionic and buy competitor's product instead. I really feel that the Ionic was rushed to the Christmas market and we buyers are now the beta testers of the product...

I’m also a new Fitbit user and I completely agree that the software and apps are woefully lacking. Not even any news or word from Fitbit on the next firmware update is really shameful. So much of the Ionic’s potential is not being harnessed.

I just read there is a firmware being released over the next two weeks.  It started rolling out a couple days ago.

Yes that is very promising news. I’m optimistic that the product will continually improve. Thank you Fitbit.
