New Ionic, doesn't transfer app data from old device

Hey,

I just got my replacement ionic (top notch service getting a new one to me) and I connected it today to my account and....

My settings didn’t move over, I had a bunch of apps, settings and configuration done to it and it looks like I need to reset everything up!

if this is normal behaviour, then this is upsetting to me as a long time user.

New trackers need to be customized since the customization is on the tracker - congrats on getting a replacement, fitbit customer service is the best, welcome back.

That seams crazy to me. It all configured via the app so it should be all backed up.

I shouldn’t have to do it all again if I get a new one. I’m okay with having to move my apps around on the watch but I should have to install them all and input all the same data.

Can we log this as a future update?

Great idea, you might suggest an "App Archive" feature in the "Feature Suggestions" section and see if it gets voted up. Good idea @Shoss

Welcome to the forums @Shoss! It's nice to see new faces around. Let me help you with your app transfer inquiry.

As @wmchapman mentioned, at this time there's no way to transfer saved apps on you old Ionic to your replacement  device. I think that his idea of adding this to our Feature Suggestions is really good. You could go ahead and add this great idea and share it with us so we can vote for it.

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community! Robot LOL

Hello,

I've just received a replacement Ionic and I'm wondering if this transfer functionality has been implemented yet?

I would like a smooth transition if possible.

Kind regards,

Ginski

Welcome to the Community @Ginski. This hasn't been implemented yet. You still have to install every app that you used to have on your Ionic again.

You can post your idea on the Feature Suggestion, those are reviewed by our team and the status will change based on Fitbit plans.

Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need further assistance.
