No Notifications and App and Fitbit Not Recording the Same Steps

I have not been receiving text or call alerts on my Ionic for quite some time. Can someone explain what I need to do in order to receive them? I have gone online to the app as well as my phone app for Fitbit, but I can't figure out what I am missing.

 

I have also noticed a difference between what my Fitbit says and what appears in my weekly report. For example, I was at Sea World on Saturday and went well past 10,000 steps. In my weekly report, it said I had 2900 step for that day. Often, I get no steps recorded on the app for Sundays.

 

Any thoughts??

my steps are calculating correctly, but I haven't been getting notifications for a long time. My Fitbit has the latest firmware, and I just updated to the newest version of the iOS app. So I'm crossing my fingers. If it doesn't start working soon, I'm heavily considering the newest version of the Apple Watch.
