Have been searching for weeks now but  the mentioned Tennis app by Fitbit Labs is not shown when looking up in the app store for my Iconic watch.  Any ideas Why and how to fix?

It doesn't appear that the Fitbit Labs Tennis app is available anymore. These are experimental apps and can sometimes only be available temporarily.

 

A search of the app gallery (here) provides a few 3rd party ones, perhaps one of these will suit your needs?

Nor for the Versa... I find it truly amazing that we have not a single tennis app in the FITBIT (fitness focused!) app store when there were several free and paid apps in the Pebble (not fitness focused) app store.
