I'm using Ionic of fitbit. I recently bought Samsung Galaxy buds that is Bluetooth earpiece. and I'm trying to connect. I can see that the connection is normal, but I can't hear it. I'd like to make sure that this product is compatible.Who's using the Galaxy buds here? I want to listen to music.

Same problem as others. Applied the solution proposed by Jay.J and everything worked perfectly. Only problem is I have to remember the steps every time I want to use music on my Fitbit. Surely Fitbit can come up with a better solution to this problem.

This actually worked great for me. It is not something I like to do to get a pair of wireless headphones to work. It only takes a few seconds to do it and works great.

I posted this question about a year ago, but it still seems to have not been resolved. Perhaps there is a reason why .fibit doesn't have the will to solve the SW patch method or cannot function with the irreplaceable HW specification. The best solution would be to change to compatible wireless earphones or to Apple Watch device. Don't get stressed out with this watch...Lastly, I hope Corona19 will be overcome well, and stay healthy.

It partially worked for me. At first I was excited because the steps mentioned worked perfectly. Then, when I put my wrist down by my side, the sound was broken and choppy. Move my wrist closer to the earbuds and it was fine. Clearly a range issue with this also. So disappointed in Fitbit and Samsung for not figuring this out.

Finding your solution was really a great success.
Now I can leave my phone at home.
Thanks thanks thanks thanks a lot!!!!!
I don't know why the fitbit support keeps on requesting to do such a lot of stupid tries when you found a solution that should give them the correct way to manage the buds from Ionic SW

Dear Ricardo,
could you please have a look to the workaround that jay_y provided?
That could probably guide you and your support developpers to provide a solution for your failing SW

Frankly, I'm baffled how you guys are getting the buds to pair in the first place. The initial pair operation always fails for me.
I suspect that many of you were able to pair some time before a firmware update broke it around late 2019. I also suspect that if you were to unpair/forget the pairing, that you would not be able to pair again on the new firmware.

I have downloaded all recent updates and still no change. Still have to work through the convoluted process but at least it does work. As everyone has stated, "Why is Fitbit unable to address this issue".

I also have this issue. I connected my Galaxy Buds to my Ionic today for the first time. The ear buds work with every other device I have with no problem, so it isn't the buds. I can see all the controls and the buds are connected. The music "plays" but there is no sound.

Can you tell me if the functions pause, fast forward etc work as I can get sound but can't do anything through buds.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get the functions to work. Others have reported the same problem.

I have spoken to Samsung and as for as they are concerned they is no reason that this feature does not work useless it is a permissions restriction by Fitbit.

I have also emailed Fitbit and there will be no surprise that they have not answered. They just rely on the "Fitbit Community" to handle all the queries people have. Cannot see why more companies don't do it, they would save a fortune on tech support 😁
