My Ionic is not recording steps accurately at all. It was fine initially and generally I’ve been very pleased with it. Also at times the Fitbit logo appears on the screen and blocks all functions for short periods. I’m becoming more convinced there’s an issue.

Hi, @DMCCORMICK, if you suddenly see the Fitbit logo on screen that means that your Ionic is restarting for some reason. Although a restart can solve many problems (it's the first step to try when your Fitbit is not behaving as expected, and does not result in any data loss). However, a restart can, of course, be annoying if it happens very frequently and unexpectedly.
I would suggest keeping an eye on it, and if it becomes a problem get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support. They have the tools to look more deeply into what may be ging on.

Thanks for the reply. But this seems to happen regularly and it never happened in the first few weeks. The steps definitely are not registering properly. Can you just reboot??

@DMCCORMICK Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting this strange situation.
Yes, you can restart your Ionic. Please follow the instructions here to perform it. This should help.
If it doesn't, try a factory reset on it. On your Ionic select "Settings", then tap "About", and then tap "Factory Reset". This could also work as a last option.
@Julia_G Thanks for your awesome help on this thread!
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
