My Ionic stopped giving me notifications for incoming phone calls and text messages. Why? I tried shutting it down but this has not changed anything and I also checked to see if notification is on and it is. I am baffled.

I just read the accepted solution. And, I've tried that. I still am not getting text or call notifications. What to do?

Tried everything I've read here and still nothing....no text alerts, phone calls, etc.
Any new ideas ?
Best AnswerJust had an online chat with support....all 3 alert types have to be active : lock screen, notification center, banners. I only had "banners" checked. After activating all 3 then the ionic started letting me know about texts and phone calls.

Thank you for the update @GA_Mike, and for letting us know that you already got in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with the notifications. I'm sure this information will be useful to other users as well.
Best AnswerHi everyone!
I have had the same problem and thought that I had tried it all. BUT, I had not paired the unit with my phone. By some reason, it was disabled. All the time it was connected through bluetooth and I could see my progress in the app everyday, so I thought it was all good, but still no messages or incoming calls...
Try this if you experience the same problems:
In the app, go to the account settings in the top right corner. You'll see a small icon of you Iconic-watch. Tap it. Here I could "pair" my device. I am not totally sure if the correct word is "pair" since I have my language-settings in Swedish. (Sorry for my english btw). But I think you will understand if you see it. You don't need to have the the sync switch on.

Awesome, thank you for sharing this @CarroEklund, I'm it will be useful to more users.
You're also correct, "pair" is precisely the term used to refer to the set up process of the Fitbit device to the account.
Hope to see you around in the forums.
