One night I put my watch on it’s charger and everything functioned normally. The next morning the heart rate sensor will not work, and my steps are no longer being traced. I’ve searched throughout settings and tried to figure out what was wrong and have had no success. Any suggestions?

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. First and to better assist you, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors of your Ionic device are still flashing? Also, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process that can be really helpful for the steps inconvenience too.
