Not tracking GPS data for Auto-Detect Run!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Before starting the run, IONIC's built-in GPS shows "connected" and auto-detect for RUN is on.  However, my run was auto-detected but not tracked with GPS data.  Only runs that I manually started and completed were tracked with GPS data.

From the watch, I've turned on run activity's GPS and auto-detect.  From the mobile app, I've also turn on run's GPS in ionic's exercise shortcuts and auto-recognize settings (I do not carry on my phone on the run, not sure if the mobile app settings are relevant).   I've also re-started the device multiple times...

Anyone have suggestions?

Auto-detected activity won't use GPS. It applies to watch and mobile app.

Thank you!  Is that a new change?  This old thread from FitBit implies that IONIC auto-detect runs will track GPS data...?  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/How-do-I-turn-on-GPS-for-Auto-Run-feature/m-p/3006362/highligh...

This is new to me. When I was using Ionic I am quite sure there was no way to use GPS with auto-detection.
