The notification icon on the bottom right hand corner of my app shows a red dot like I have a new notification. However, when I click on it, the notifications there are 60 days and 1 week old. Once I have looked, the red dot goes away until I open the app again and then the red dot is back like I have a new notification even though I don’t. How do I get rid of this red dot so I know when there actually is a new notification? I have an iPhone...

I am also having the same issue. It has been showing I have new notifications but nothing shows at new. My device will get notifications but if I try to look at it further it shows me nothing. I used to get one when I hit my goal and such but now nothing besides a deceiving red dot.

That worked - there was an update available this morning and after I did it, I am no longer having the issue either. Thanks!

This needs to be not marked as solved. I have read 4 different posts on this with sonar suggestions for solving. Multiple people on the posts say its not solved for them.

Ya man this is crap. I had to just turn notifications for it off entirely or my phone is permanently blinking. drives me nuts. GET THIS FIXED. You've had years, this isn't that hard.

Seems Fitbit has confirmed they have no idea why this is happening and therefore has no fix for it even though it was triggered by their update. 🤷🏻:male_sign:
