Notifications not working when phone turns off

Notifications won't send to my phone since the update. I can reinstall the app and it works again but then if the phone turns off, it's back to square one with them unable to be sent. Phone can connect for sync, it's purely notifications.

A warm welcome to the Community @Mellyj. Thanks for the troubleshooting performed and the details mentioned.

It's pretty weird that when your phone turns off, you stop receiving notifications. I would like you to try the procedure mentioned in this article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.

Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I had the same issue. Turned bluetooth off on my phone, turned it on after 10 sec, and sync'd the Ionic through the app. Everything kicked back in gear!

It wasn't just when it turns off, it was it updated. Fitbit just did another update and the same thing happened. It's not the phone, it's the app! I just reinstalled again after the update.

I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting, it doesn't work.

Turning off Bluetooth didn't work or forgetting the ionic via Bluetooth and reconnecting. Or forcing the Fitbit app to stop and rebooting. Will only work when I reinstall the app.

Thanks for that. This morning my phone had died and when I charged it up and it rebooted, the Notifications weren't working. This time I tried to "forget" the Ionic in Bluetooth again, turned Bluetooth off and then reboot and it worked. But it's still an issue considering the notifications switch off when I let the phone run out of battery and I had to reboot.

And if definitely only started happening since the update.

I'm glad to hear that it started working for you. It's pretty weird that it stops working when you switch off and let the phone run out of battery, if you continue experiencing this and notifications stopped working, please reply back to the case that you already have.
