Hi folks,
I got my first Fitbit for my Christmas. I have the Ionic and for the first 3 days I was receiving notifications on my Ionic from phone for messages etc. Today though they've just stopped working.
I've checked and they are still switched on. I've looked at other posts here and tried restarting my Ionic and that hasn't worked.
Any other users know of anything else to try? Any help appreciated. My phone is the Google Pixel and the OS on the phone is Android 8.1.
Thanks for any help.

Hi @DramaQueenDiva, thanks for you help.
I've tried everything on there and nothing worked .I've even tried deleting the Ionic from the FitBit app and re adding it on and that hasn't worked either.
The test notification from the FitBit app works but nothing else does.

Sometimes the Android system on here can be a little buggy....I know, I have all Android devices around here and have had my fair share of issues with each of them. Have you tried connecting your Ionic to another device?

hey there @Hoggfather.. well, I wish I come with a quick and easy remedy- but all I come with are my experiences. I have the ionic and an android. I get notifications without fail 60% of the time. The rest, I have to go through a sequence of steps to get it to work again until it doesn't. I do think it is some kind of Android bug. I restart the Bluetooth first. I make sure that my ionic is unlocked (I have PIN protected it), I go and turn off/on the receive from phone notifications and I force a sync. Once in a while, when I open the app, for some unknown reason the notifications disables themselves- that is a happy day because it is only one step. Hit enable. I notice that the notifications are spotty when the app itself is having a bad day on the phone. I will get the app stopped working - close app notification at least three times per day- those days the notifications are not going to work...
I truly believe it is a matter of time and patience for things to work themselves out.

I also recv’d Great for a day or two on my Android LG G6. Then they just stop. I set o everything lol over again an works but stops again shortly thereafter. The test call from the app comes through fine. I can pair my Bluetooth headphone fine. I switched to my older iPhone and have no issues whatsoever. Is this just an issue with Ionic and Android?

Hi!
i have the same issues, but with an iPhone. I have contacted support twice and I was basically told tough luck. I was first told to do all the restart options. That got annoying quickly having to do that daily. The second time, I was told my gps was turned on so that was the cause of my issues and they couldn’t help me any longer.
I am not happy with not getting my notifications and I am certainly not happy with the customer service!
I’m pretty sure the whole gist of the ionic was to receive notifications, use apps, AND be able to track exercises at the same time?
Sometimes I feel like I have the flex features with the ionic price tag!
