Have you tried restarting the phone and Ionic? This can be done by pressing and holding the left button and bottom right button together for 15 secs (until you see the fitbit logo).
If that doesn't work. I would then try removing the Ionic from your account within the fitbit app and then by going into your phones Bluetooth settings and unpairing it in there also. Then select set up new device and add the Ionic again. You shouldn't lose any data that was previously on the Ionic if you follow this procedure.

It's supposed to yes. Have you set a default email app in the notification section of the fitbit app?

Whilst on the main screen of the app, press the little Ionic icon in the top corner. Scroll down to where you see notifications and press it, you should now be able to select which notifications you want.

I'm using the Android version of the app, it appears you are using the iOS version. There seems to be some slight differences, sorry for the confusion.
I haven't got any experience with the iOS app, hopefully someone who uses it can chime in and offer further assistance. From what I can see though, it looks as though you have mail selected for notifications. Do you receive notifications on your phone when you have new emails? I would go into the phones settings and then mail settings to check that notifications are set up correctly for the mail app. I think if they are set to silent etc it can also effect the notification coming through to the Ionic. We'l i se to work like that on android at least.

Hello,
I'm having the same problem. One minute I'm getting notifications and then I'm not. This is so frustrating. Most days I have to restart phone, turn off blue tooth and then turn it back on. My ionic is on my last nerve. 300 for a phone and it doesn't work consistently.

I have the same problem with my lg v20, always need to reboot watch. Fitbit must be kidding me, what is wrong with the SW/HW on the watch?

I finally got mine working for emails using iPhone 7 with the newest iOS update
Also, please make sure the "Show In History" option on your phone is turn on. To do so please go to Settings > Notifications > Messages > 'Show In History'

I also have an iPhone 7 on AT&T. I've had my Ionic since Christmas and have been troubleshooting notifications since. I finally called support last week and after 2 calls and escalating to a supervisor, I was told this is a known issue and that their engineers are working on it. There were NO further suggestions other than waiting for a fix. I asked for a replacement and he said it would not do any good as this is a known issue and a new Ionic would have the same problem. Extremely frustrating to pay this much for a watch for the primary purpose of receiving notifications and they don't work and there is no timeline when they will. With the introduction of the new model, I'm guessing this won't get a ton of attention...we'll see.

Hello there, I have tried these options. Several times. It starts working, then it won't send the notifications. I use Android & I have forces stopped the app, restarted the Iconic, turned off Bluetooth & restarted my phone. I've made sure all the settings are on also. I can't figure out what's going on. Do you think it's something wrong with the fitbit? Please, please help.

I have the Ionic and Iphone 8, and still having this issue, ie, notifications work one day then the next they don't. i then click on notifications and get asked to bluetooth set up, so yes I do that then the icon just spins around and around, not getting anywhere.
