Now bluetooth pairing doesn't work

So, after less than a week of a properly working Ionic, I can't pair my Philips bluetooth headphones today.  The Ionic is in an endless loop "pairing Philips SHQ6500".  Used to pair in about 10 seconds.  Now endless loop.

So frustrating.  I miss the days of when my Ionic worked correctly.  Did the recent update wreck it?  Now, no more notifications, no more weather, no more NY Times, only one-time Wi-Fi connection (just enough to get my Pandora back).  But now without bluetooth headphones, i can't even listen.

I should have gotten more than 8 months of use out of the Ionic.  So depressing.

What the heck, Fitbit?!  I spent nearly $300.  I don't get why the tech issues are so hard.

I find I now have to go into the Bluetooth Connection Opions in the Settings everytime I want to listen to music and select my earbuds. This used to be automatic and nearly flawless.  Why does it have to be done manually everytime now?

@pjndal  yeah, you are right, that's a bit of nuisance. That's actually quite a bit of difference that seems to have gone under the radar sofar (yours is the first time I see it mentioned). Personally I found the connection process not so robust, so maybe this way it is better, be it less convenient...

This company should be investigated and sued for false advertising and consumer fraud. This app DOES NOT WORK WITH THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. It does not sync. They lie and claim its a thousand other issues while they push out new devices (that won't sync either) and advertise as if everything is OK. I swear I thought I learned my lesson with the Charge HR 2 but now this Ionic has really got me pissed off. WHY WON'T YOU FIX YOUR **ahem** PRODUCTS?!?!?

@klankford78  actually the syncing between tracker and mobile app works very well, smooth and seamless, and for the vast majority of people. Although I recognize that some people seem to have extraordinary amounts of problems too. That is why it is important to verify if your mobile device is on the formally compatible device list. If it is, you really should not have any issue, and it is quite rare that a subject pops up : "mobile device officially supported, still does not sync!". Then there is the gray area where it is ambiguous if the device will work properly, and for all functionality. Bluetooth comms is great when it works, but not so great when it doesn't that can be for a thousand issues. As you already have heard.
