Numerous sync and notification issues

For months now my Ionic has not worked as it should and is not performing as the smartwatch I bought. Technically it is breaching the Trades Description Act in the UK and isn't fit for purpose.

It doesn't sync automatically, I have to manually sync it and even then it can take a dozen attempts for it to work.

My Notifications don't work. I keep getting an error telling me my phone has to be restarted to enable notifications. ... Numerous restarts later... Nothing.

The device is paired via Bluetooth to my Huawei phone.

The device is connected to my WiFi.

There are no software updates available either on my phone or the Ionic.

I completely uninstalled my Fitbit App ( lost all my history ) and set it all up again from scratch .. everything worked perfectly for 2 days...it synced and I got notifications.. then it all went wrong again.

If, as I have read, the notifications issue is a known problem, combined with the syncing problem... Surely some compensation is due to us Ionic owners who bought what was the most expensive Fitbit on the market at the time (around £300 ) , because we wanted it for the features it promised.. but has not delivered!!

I am one very unhappy customer at the moment and need a quick, reliable fix please!!

I'm sure I wouldn't have these problems with a Garmin!

@MustangSallo Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for the troubleshooting tried prior to posting. I appreciate the details mentioned.

I see where your disappointment is coming from. In this case, please let me know the phone model and OS installed.

Regarding your Ionic not syncing properly to your phone, please confirm you have followed this syncing troubleshooting. Note that even if your Fitbit was set up again to your account, your history should still show as it's stored on the app. Please make sure that you're logged into the same account than previously.

Hope this helps.

Hi Silvia..

Yes I have checked the sync trouble shooting and have already done all these things numerous times.

My phone is a Huawei P20 Pro and the OS is Android 10.

Neither my phone or Fitbit show any software updates available.

It is connected to my WiFi and paired on Bluetooth.

Thanks for your help.
