One app notification keeps turning itself off each day since update

Since I updated my Ionic last week, I find that each day I have to physically go back into app notifications and retick Messenger. My email, gmail, fitbit, texts all work and the only other one I use is messenger but it keeps turning itself off! It is getting really frustrating.

Are you talking about Facebook Messenger or another message app?
