Outdoor bike without GPS data

Today I've had 7 bike activities, each tracked by my Ionic, GPS included. Altogether I cycled for about 70 km, the first activity was the longest of about 32 km (I checked on the watch when I stopped the activity).

I synchronised the watch in the evening, but only last 6 activities synchronised with GPS data, the first one that was over 30 km long didn't - it's just on the list as "Outdoor bike" with no GPS data and no distance covered.

In the past I've tracked and synchronised over 100 km rides. What happened? Why did Ionic lose the exercise data?

Hi @Hotaru thanks for bringing this situation to my concern, I'm happy to assist you today. It's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back!

Seems odd that your Ionic didn't recorded GPS data during your first outdoor bike exercise, this is certainly not a common situation. To better assist you, can you please let me know when was the first time you noticed this situation and how many times since then? Also, I'd like to let you know that

your Fitbit require a direct path to the satellites in order to receive their radio transmissions and capture GPS data. If the signal is blocked (either because you're underground, near many tall buildings, or as a result of atmospheric effects) GPS will not be tracked. While GPS gives you a more accurate measure of distance than step counting alone, the actual accuracy depends on both your environment and the weather.

If the GPS signal is lost, your Fitbit device continually searches for a GPS signal as long as an exercise is in progress, therefore, this may be the reason why your first exercise was not recorded with GPS data. Also, let me share with you that the OnePlus 6 mobile device is not compatible with our products and services, therefore, you may encounter certain connection difficulties with some of your Fitbit features, even though you're able to sync it. That said, can you please let me know if you experienced the same situation with a compatible device

I'll be here if you need anything else. Keep me posted.

That's the whole point - Ionic DID track the exercise correctly. When I stopped the workout I had a full summary on my watch screen, including the kilometers traveled (that's how I know that the workout was 32 km).

It's only when that evening I synchronised Ionic with my phone app, this one workout lost GPS data and was registered as "Outdoor bike", without GPS data or distance travelled.

So Ionic either deleted this data between the time I finished this workout in the morning and when I synchronised it in the evening, OR something went wrong with synchronisation itself.

It's the first time this happened (or the first time I noticed it happening).

I synchronised both with OnePlus 6, and when I noticed the problem I tried synchronising with Windows 10 PC (using the Fitbit dongle). It didn't help.

@RicardoFitbit is there a maximum amount of data or number of exercises that can be saved between syncs?
