Hey!

So I am super excited by all things Ionic, but am running a race within the next 2 months. What is the release date that it will be able to be shipped out if preordered?

Did you do overnight delivery or just live close?

Yes, I opted for overnight delivery.

I'm trying to be patient. 😊 I ordered on 8/28 and have not received a ship notification yet. HURRY UP FITBIT! lol.

I placed my order on 9/2 and have not received my shipping information either.

Correction, I just received the email saying it shipped. It says a Friday delivery.

Yes indeed. I can't currently have parcels delivered to my office so the only option I had, ordering from Fitbit, was to get it delivered at home. Now my main concern is whether there will be someone home the day they try to deliver it (I know they will try again the day later but that's more waiting, especially if there's the weekend in between)

Just had a message from FitbitUK support. Ships in 1-2 days.

Expedited shipping adds 2-3 days from then.

I am in Michigan and also ordered the orange one. I wonder if there is a connection?

US Website now says "In Stock" for whatever color selected.  I ordered two on 9/1, one of them being orange, but I think not knowing what color those who have notifications had ordered, it's a little early to make the correlation unless we see that none of them had orange and more of those still waiting have ordered orange.

It's a process they will be going through all day and the notifications are most likely going out in batch, so I'm not going to call it a day for a little while.  Since the website says everything is In Stock I would assume there isn't a pattern yet.

It would appear that Fitbit is shipping via how the order was placed:

OVERNIGHT - Shipping 1st

EXPEDITED - Shipping 2nd

STANDARD - Shipping 3rd

I ordered on 09/17, the Burnt Orange Ionic (US East Coast) and my order still shows "Your order is in the process of being shipped".  So, I'm hoping it will make it out in a shipment today.  Are my shipping thoughts kinda in conjunction to what all of those who have received shipping emails as right??

I got my confirmation at 12:15pm (Central time) saying that my order has shipped.

I ordered from FitBit on the 1st with standard delivery. It's being shipped to Texas and currently says that it will be here Friday. But FedEx doesn't actually have it in hand yet, so I'm expecting that to change once they do.

Yeah, I ordered 2 day.  My experience in these preorder situations where there is a giant bulk order going out, is that when you get to this point, you don't find much in the way of patterns.  There are typically different shipping locations and it's typically done through a shipping partner and not internally. There may be lists sorted upon some order (order number, customer name, something else).  This list could be broken up in chunks to be handled by different shipping agents etc so the order is all wonky.

I would expect preorders to ship by EOD for everyone though considering the website shows in stock which means if I ordered today it should ship tomorrow plus whatever delivery option I choose.

It would be interesting to see if anyone tries to order today with overnight or expedited shipping and gets it earlier than the pre-orders...

Yeah it would! Entirely possible especially if someone orders overnight vs a preorder who is getting standard shipping.  It might go out a day or two later but still get there first!

Amazon's customer services is horrible,  conned me for weeks until they didn't have to replace item, then gave me credit for something else. I never got the item. They wiggled out of it.

I pre-ordered on September 7 (Canada), my MasterCard was processed last Friday, and I got a shipping notification email today, Monday, Sept 25 at 1:30 pm CDT, with a real live tracking number. Things are moving!
