Preorder/Release Date for Ionic

Hey!  

So I am super excited by all things Ionic, but am running a race within the next 2 months. What is the release date that it will be able to be shipped out if preordered?

I should have just ordered from Amazon. I pre-ordered from Fitbit on the 28th with standard Delivery and it's not scheduled to arrive until Monday in California. Sounds like everyone else in the US is getting theirs this week. I could order from Amazon now and still get it before fitbit's arrives. Terrible delivery service.

Whoohoo FINALLY got the notification for US...looks like they are still saying Wednesday even though it didn't come until this morning (2 day shipping).  We shall see what FedEx says soon.  I think I'm the last person in the US who ordered before last week to get the notification! (at least it feels that way after reading this thread)

My Amazon order is still pending.  As far as I know, Shipbo is the only person with an Amazon shipment in progress.  I had hoped mine would update overnight, but it hasnt.

My delivery date has changed from Wednesday to Thursday. As it had not arrived at FedEx till today. Why they charge for 2 day shipping and then delay delivery after sending out emails with delivery dates.

Mine also changed from Wednesday to Thursday, I guess there is now a 3 day expedited delivery.  I can't complain about paying for 2 day expedited, because sales took that off, when I called about them offering free 2 day, now.

DPD have my order (or will have by the end of the day) it was on standard 4 day delivery but I have upgraded direct with them for a Thursday delivery (could have picked tomorrow but noone will be home)

I ordered from fitbit 30th August and live in the UK.

Me too! In the UK. Surprised as thought we would get them much later than the USA. I am far more excited about this than a 47 year old should be (Squeeeee!).

Had the email that it’s with DPD but it’s not yet showing in my app. 

Funnily enough, I was on the verge of cancelling my preorder, due to lack of clarity with Fitbit Pay and U.K. music streaming, when the email pinged in. Guess I’ll play with it now.

My UK order has been dispatched. Handed over to DPD who are excellent. I've also paid to upgrade the delivery to the 27th (Tomorrow). Let's see if it actually turns up now haha.

And the saga continues...

I *finally* received my shipping notification email around 8 pm last night (US, Eastern Time) saying it had been prepped to ship that morning (at 8 am, so lots of computer lag in there it seems).  The email confirmed my overnight shipping and that I should get my Ionic today (Tuesday, Sep. 26).  Unfortunately, the FedEx notification I got this morning said it wasn't arriving until tomorrow.  I contacted Fitbit Customer Service and they confirmed it should have been sent overnight but apparently it wasn't.  They did refund my entire shipping cost, though, so I guess that's nice, but now I still have to wait another day to get my Ionic. Boo.

From reading everyone else's comments it looks like ALL shipping methods have been moved out a day.  Interesting.  I can't REALLY complain, though, because it is still earlier than I expected... but man, I realllllllly want to have it in hand!  The excitement is palpable!!

(Also, funnily enough, my Ionic did ship from Plainfield - about 30 minutes away from my house - but it apparently had to go all the way down to Louisville first before coming all the way back up to Indianapolis.  Someone's logistics are messed up!)
