Hello,
I got the message "...coudn't get consistent heart rate reading"
No details in app or dashboard.
When are the missing data?
Didn't Fitbit use HRV?
So, when you have some problem with your heart, you don't have accurate heart rate. Means no consistent heart rate! And then no sleep stages!
And if Fitbit really used HRV should the sleep stages be shown!
So, what is wrong?
I assume there was a change in the algorithm, because since February/March I have no sleep stages anymore. Or they have not high enough of sampling rate of the heart rate sensor!
Is anybody here and knows more about this issue?
Maybe a programmer or developer?
Thanks for futher information.
Best regars,
Mark

Have you tried a restart or an factory reset?
Have you disconnected the Ionic from your account and set it up again?
Have you deleted the Fitbit up and logged in again?
If these methods don't work, call support.

What the message is indicated is that the Fitbit lost HR signal during the night, and therefore was unable to calculate sleep stages. It does use HRV, but it can't if there's not a consistent signal.
Try wearing the band in a different position, a little higher or lower on the wrist, and maybe a little tighter. It takes some experimenting to find the best placement for continuous HR signal.
Sleep stages has been working fine for me on the Ionic.

Yes, of course.
My new hobby since I have the Ionic.
That's all in standard answer from Fitbit support. Not really helpfull!
How can the data be lost?
My wife is wearing the Charge 2 very lose and she had every night sleep stages.
I tried several positions and other hand. Or more sensitive.
= no help!
That's why I would know more details.
Maybe a hardware error. Hmmm.
I have had only one change: new app version!
Thanks

Most likely, try sending your watch back to Fitbit for an exchange.

I would suggest a return or exchange as well, given the fact that you seem to have tried everything else.

Hi,
I do that.
I'm just wondering how a restart, new installation solve a problem when the problem comes up with an update of the app?
And my wife has no problem with Charge 2. She got the sleep stages!
So, I bet there was a change in the algorithm, because I'm not the only one who has that problem!
Or they didn't really use HRV! Otherwise I should have the sleep stages!
Unfortunately no further information about their research!
But OK, my Ionic is on the way to the technical center, and I bet the Charge 2 will follow!
Best regards,
Mark
