I bought a new phone with dual sim in order to get rid of two phones (work & private). I previously had my fitbit ionic connected / paired with my iphone and this worked perfectly. I then removed the fitbit ionic from my account and tried to reconnect it with my pocophone. This was horrible. I tried every thing and it just wouldn't find the pocophone when connecting (the bluetooth just kept on searching), I've turned my phone on and off, bluetooth on the phone on and off, reinstalled the fitbit app and restarted my ionic several times. None of this worked. However, everytime I tried it with my iphone (to pair again) it worked instantly.
In the end I removed the ionic from my account, shut down my iphone (turned it off) and reset my fitbit ionic to factory defaults (option in the settings). After doing this and going through the setup procedure I finally was able to connect my ionic to my new pocophone.
I hope this can help others as well! My fitbit app and firmware were up to date and had the latest versions.

Why would you remove a tracker from your Fitbit account when switching phones? Is your old phone around and turned on? Have you removed the ionic from your old phone? Removing the ionic from your account only removes it from your account, not the phone.
When changing phones, if your old phone is around, and on, yes you want to log out of the Fitbit app and remove the ionic from the phone. This is done through the phones Bluetooth menu.
Do not remove the ionic from the Fitbit app.
Now load the Fitbit app on the new phone and log into your Fitbit app.. You will be asked to accept several permissions and you will be good to go.
This works because a Fitbit tracker is setup to your Fitbit account, not your Fitbit phone. Once the tracker is setup to your Fitbit account then the Fitbit app connects the tracker to the phone.
