Problems transferring music on 5 GHz only network.

I have successfully transferred music using an 802.11ac wave 2 access point that was supporting 2.4 and 5 Ghz.  However, trying to use a 5 GHz only network, my FitBit Ionic cannot connect to the Wi-Fi.

 

Is the Fitbit Ionic 802.11n 2.4 GHz only?  2.4 GHz is a deprecated channel band for wireless, and 802.11ac, which came out in 2013, doesn't even support 2.4 GHz, it only supports 5 GHz.  Does the Ionic only support 2.4 GHz?
