Hi all,
I used the search function and googled my problem, but I haven't found a corresponding thread.
I have Problems with my exercise App resetting after syncing. As you all know, you can customize the Stats you see during workouts (top, middle, bottom) and you can customize Lap/Split-Times (e.g. Running => manual/auto/off).
My Problem is, that my Ionic forgets all the settings after syncing it with the App. This is pretty annoying, because if you forget to alter the Lap/Split-Times to manual, you can't record laps during running for example.
Does anyone else have the same Problem or knows how to fix this?
I've already restarted my Ionic. I have factory reset my Ionic. I have deleted the app on my mobile phone and factory reset my Ionic. I have deleted the Ionic from my Fitbit-Account and paired it again. Nothing seems to work.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Thorsten

I'm having the exact same issue...following to see if anyone finds a fix. It started Sunday for me though, after I changed to a new phone and therefore had to re-pair my watch.

I've got the same issue since the 2.1 update. Quite annoying.

Hey guys, count me a part of this weird club, same annoying error here. Let's hope that they fix this fast, usually Fitbit is really responsive with mistakes of this sort, but bugtracking can have some weird rabbit holes. A month in is next to unbearable, though. Common, Fitbit, don't let us down!
This is what I received as feedback over twitter:
Thanks for sending us some photos, Mathias. Currently, this is being investigated. We are working hard to implement a fix for this top-priority matter, and hope to have it resolved as quickly as possible. We will have an update as soon as we have more definitive information. Hope to have things back to normal very soon. We really appreciate your time with this!
Can't wait to use all the features as they are described in the manual

What's going on here? A mystery that it still hasn't been fixed. It's a standalone app, you don't have to update the whole os! Nowadays my workout routine is always begin with me changing the options for the stats before anything else. Every time.
While you're at it, please add cadence to the stats. It measures steps and time, it's simple maths, but not so simple in your head after 4000 steps and 5k running.

It is a complete mystery to me too.
Nearly 4 month and no fix, but some mysterious updates without a changelog, where some mysterious bugs were fixed...
My workout starts with adjusting the options for the stats before anything else too. This is simply not acceptable..

Hi there.
Yep, - same issue here. Most annoying. I have to redo the customisation every time.

Update from my side: I did a factory reset (complete deletion of anything on the device + reinstallation of the update). After several issues with reconnecting to the phone, I instantly changed all the settings in the exercises app, and since then it is no longer reverting those.
I also tried to change a setting after perhaps two weeks, but couldn't do it (switching on auto-pause for cycling). I am not willing to go through all the shenanigans again just to have that, eventually.
My recommendation: don't install any third-party apps. Changing watch faces was no problem for me, but I suspect one of those water loggers to mess with the connection, but can't prove it.
All the best, you struggling Ionic-wearers out there!
