Question on tracking exercise

I have a question on tracking exercise.

1.) Sunday I took a step class. The Ionic picked up activity, but showed it in 3 different spurts of 10-15 minutes each, as a walk, aerobis and sport. I understand this because we do pause and change to weights, etc. I edited the log to include the full length of the class time. I've taken this class before. The Ionic registers all the data (HR, steps, etc.), but does not show any active minutes or calories burned? (Same class the week before shows 40 activie minutes and 343 calories?) How do I get this data to show up?

2.) Last Thurs. I took a Body Pump class (which is weight lifting) and logged it. It wasn't showing up as Exercise, but I finally fixed that problem. However, it, too, is showing zero calories.

In total, I have 3 activities I logged in the past 2 weeks out of many that I have logged manually that are showing 0 calories. Since the Ionic tracks calorie burn during the day, why isn't it using the data from this time period to update the calories when exercise is logged, as it seems to do the other times I've logged activitiy?

Thanks for any info./help you can provide.

Hi @New_Jen,

It sounds like you have quite a variety of exercise. Because of that, I would recommend that you use the manual exercise modes on the Ionic--the ones you start and stop on the tracker. This way you'll get the duration and type of exercise you want.  This is much better than trying to manually edit the activities later. For the exercise modes, I would recommend Workout for ones that aren't listed specifically (like Weights).
