I've done all of this and nearly 48 hours later I cannot sync, it doesn't recognize Bluetooth or wifi. I have deleted all other fitbit devices from the app and my phone's bluetooth, deleted and re-added the app, reset my phone, my Bluetooth, my wifi and still nothing.
The update won't download when I try wifi or Bluetooth.
I'm struggling with what to even try at this point.

After following these instructions my Ionic will not reconnect to the Fitbit app. It says found but will not finish its “re-setup”. What should we do now?

So I just wanted to leave my feedback. Hopefully someone important sees this. So I have the Fitbit flex2 and the blaze. Which I love both dearly. When one is charging, I have the other on. I've never had an issue with my steps not syncing correctly from both devices. But I've recently added the ionic to the family and I don't know if it doesn't recognize it or what but whatever steps I have on my blaze/app once I sync the ionic it all resets. I've made sure to sync the blaze before removing it and using the ionic. But as soon as the ionic syncs it's wipes all my steps.
I too also find the music transfer overly complicated and I'm pretty techy. I still haven't figured that out. I'm going to try removing the device and adding it back to see if that helps the sync issue.
Still love Fitbit. Hope these issues find solutions. Thank you.

I have a flex which has worked and synced awesome since day one... it's holding up so well in fact that I ordered some spare bands for it off Amazon since I think it's going to last forever lol.
I also bought a surge, but returned it to the store after 3 days of fighting with it. It was a very similar experience to what you guys are having with the ionic 😞
It seems like as the Fitbits and app get more complicated the more problematic they become. The ionic looked interesting, but I wanted to wait and see how things developed before possibly buying one........ so glad I did. Unfortunately it's going exactly as I expected 😞
On a side note, I started to notice my flex was syncing much slower as they started changing the app around with the new dashboard layout and other things..... so I stopped updating my app a while back. Why fix something if it isn't broken? I don't plan on updating it anymore unless I buy a new Fitbit that needs it updated.
Updates aren't always all their cracked up to be.

New problem, The Ionic sync flawless with my iPhone, no problems at all.
When I try to sync with the MacBook, Fitbit Connect I get:

I am having the same issue. Ionic will sync once only after removing it and going through the initial setup again. I hope this is sorted soon or it will have to go back to amazon... 😞

It was working again from Saturday morning but now it is broken again 😞

Fitbit
Once again you have failed me.
I have Samsung note8,
Guess what , you released another
Perfect device for me as a sports watch IONIC , but I just can not pay 300$ for a device that will not snyc to a Samsung device. I will be returning the IONIC today, looks like I will have to wait for Samsung Sport. I am so disappointed, I love the ease of fitbit, this was my 4th device, but at this point all i have is a tracker that is waterproof.
Guys next time get it right, I knew going in that the problem may still exist, because to my surprise my SURGE, DOES NOT snyc to Samsung s7e, or note 8, I learned to live with it on the SURGE, BUT will not accept the response, Fitbit is currently working to fix this. You tell your consumer what they want to hear and never follow thru with a fix. Yes I spent countless hours trying to Wipe out, reset restart all devices, NOT THIS TIME FITBIT, YOU WILL NO LONGER, feed me empty promises.
Thank you,
Dissapointed fitbit lover

If you'd rather not wait for the system updates, you can use the following workaround:
- Go to your phone's Bluetooth Settings and remove Ionic from the list of Bluetooth devices
- Open the Fitbit app and remove Ionic from your Fitbit account (Account>Ionic>Remove)
- Next, setup your Ionic watch again
For those of you who don't have time to try the workaround, rest assured that our team will fix this issue.
All data that Ionic tracks is saved on device and once you're able to sync, it will save it to your account for your viewing pleasure. Don't let this bump in the road get in the way of reaching your health goals for the day! I will keep this thread updated with the latest.

Do we have a rough timeframe on this? Thanks!
