I can't speak to the Alta but I have the Ionic and it's my number one frustration. I am a runner, half marathons, and when I try to read the screen to check my pace or my mileage I can't see a thing! I can't seem to find a board on the Ionic page discussing this problem and a number of other boards have said the best solution is to find a shady spot of "cup" my hands over the screen. Well that's not going to work for someone concerned about keeping their pace. Honestly, it makes me wish I would have purchased a Garmin instead.

@daniannechavez The Ionic is easy to fix - Go to the settings app on your actual Ionic and select Brightness and you can adjust it! The brighter it is set the more it will impact y our battery life, but it is easy to change, so I keep mine on normal and change to bright when I need it brighter.
I will move this to the Ionic board as it is not relevant on the Alta Board.
