Today is first day of daylight savings and my Ionic won’t sync. It just keeps rebooting to the Fitbit logo

Hi @NC.user.FQ, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, seems odd that your device is behaving in such way. First, I'd like to clarify that Daylight Savings is not the root cause of this because your device shows the time that's configured on your mobile device with the syncing process. If your device is rebooting itself several times, I suggest you to try the following steps to perform a factory reset on your Ionic:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be here if you need further assistance. Keep me posted.

Hi Ricardo,

I am having the same issue with my Ionic.  I was having problems syncing with my phone and ended up doing a factory reset.  I was able to reset everything fine.  However, a few days later my watch would seem to reboot and then vibrate.  It steadily got worse to the point where it was doing it several times all through the day.  I had to start taking it off at night as it was waking me up.  I have since tried your reset procedure above and then did the full factory reset again yesterday.  It has now been about 20 hours since I did the full factory reset, and my watch has started again to do random reboots, twice in the last 3 hours.  Any suggestions?

I got the Ionic in February 2019 directly from the fitbit store.

Hope you can help,

thanks,

Bill

Hi Ricardo! I also am having the same reboot cycling problem. I factory reset it twice and if I try to use anything it just restarts. The alarm going off triggered a restart as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
