My Ionic is displaying a red triangle with an exclamation mark and will not restart or reset no matter what I do. Is it dead?

Hi @Katers596, welcome to the community.
Have you tried going onto the fitbit app on your phone and changing the clock face? It sounds like a clock face might not have installed properly.

Fitbit has declared my Ionic dead. Sadly, it was 14 months old, and just out of warranty, so I’m out of luck. This made me quite sad. Contemplating my next move.

Thanks for getting back. Considering you have nothing to lose, I would suggest trying the hardware (button combination) factory reset. I'm not sure if support asked you to try this, but it's worth giving a go. You need to follow the instructions below exactly.
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This will trigger the 2-button hardware restart after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, whilst continuing to hold the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

Yes, we tried that, with absolutely no results. There is no doubt, it is, in fact, a dead parrot.

I am wondering if it had something to do with the most recent firmware update, mine acted up yesterday, was ok and then stopped working all together today.
