Reliability of Ionic

I have a big problem. I love my Ionic but it’s just died. Black screen, wont charge/reset and no green HR light. Its 18 months old and I know if I phone Fitbit they will send me a replacement (2-year warranty). I will do this when I get time but my problem is I have lost faith in the reliability and life span of all Fitbits and the Ionic in particular. 
In our family we have already had one Ionic replacement and two charge3 replacements under guarantee. This is not acceptable, and I was going to buy another Ionic for another family member but I can’t risk it.

So what happens when they are out of warranty? A small discount off a new Fitbit? Really?
If only companies were transparent and honest about problems, customers would support them. It’s such a shame because the Ionic is fantastic when it works.

If you have any issue with your Fitbit device, you can contact us and we'll make sure to provide you with troubleshooting. If after troubleshooting it, your device is still not working, our Support team always has options for you, which are based in the Fitbit Warranty. 

 

Regarding your Ionic not charging or turning on, please confirm you've tried restarting it and performed the tips mentioned in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

The discount doesn't apply to the newer models.  I have similar issues with Ionic and the Sense is not included in the discount.
