Replacement 50% off

I have a semi faulty New Ionic. It functions fine but physically faulty. I have been offered a brand new one or 50% off another. My husband wants to keep the “faulty” one for himself and I was going to get another for -50%. I was about to commit but I read the t&cs and it said once I set up my new device the old device will not work anymore !!! Can someone shed light on this please!? How could it just not work anymore. It does function fine hence why my husband wants to keep it and pay for the new one for me. Any help appreciated.

Or get a replacement Ionic and you have the new one. No extra money spent!

The old one can still be used

@AmandaBRO   I would imagine that the old tracker would still work on the wrist but it could not be attached to the app to sync or update.  So you could still see the current data but not be able to look back through history any further than the tracker can show, and not have access to any of the features or displays that require the app.  Also if the time ever got off, you could not sync to reset it.

That's just my guess - no actual experience with the situation.

But for a replacement, do I have to send back the ‘faulty’ one?

No idea.  I expect you would have to ask Fitbit help, or wherever the offer has as contact.  I figured 50% would assume you were upgrading to a different model (Versa 2?) but I really don't know any more.  Maybe someone else will.

@AmandaBRO Fitbit don't need you to send the old one back. I've had replacements sent out and kept the broken one. My Ionic had a greyed out screen and I gave that one away to a family member to use when I get a new replacement Ionic from Fitbit.
