Replacement Ionic won't set up

I had to replace my old Ionic Adidas.  I removed the old device from profile/bluetooth and added the new one.  Went through pairing process and it all worked and my account says it's synced.  But my watch still just displays "Hi - to get started go to www.fitbit.com/setup" ??   Have spent way more time than I ever did on original setup - any words of wisdom to help?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @cjhsundvl.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and recommend confirming if your device is paired to your Fitbit account by doing the following:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap your profile picture from the Today tab.
  2. If you don't see any device paired, tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

You can confirm the steps at How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account?

Hope this helps!
