During my last few runs my Ionic stops tracking after a half mile. I need to restart the app on my Ionic to continue tracking. But don't want to have it look like multiple runs and have inconsistent data. Plus I shouldn't have to do that anyway. I have reset my Ionic recently.

@ksycks Welcome to the Community.
Thanks for letting me know that your Ionic is resetting in the middle of the running activity. I appreciate that you restarted your watch.
I would like you to manually log the activity on your app in order to get credit for it. Since you've restarted it, please continue to monitor the issue and reach out if this occurs again.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Silvia - how can you keep giving out this appalling message that you should manually log your activity! It is 2 years since I have raised this problem and have been told Fitbit are aware of the problem and working on a fix. Don't ask people to continue to monitor the problem when you know full well there is a problem where the Ionic just stops logging activity during a run. This happens constantly to me and other people.
Tracking a run is a fundamental capability of the watch and it is not working. As such the Ionic is not fit for purpose.
So again I will ask you again, when are Fitbit going to release a fix for this problem that has been reported over 2 years ago?

Went for another run today and this time the Ionic completely shut down after 1.4 miles. Once it booted back up I couldn't get my music back, after that I didn't even try to get the tracker going again. It was cool and windy so it was hard enough for me to be motivated to go for a run.
I feel like I should do a reset before every run. What a pain!

I am officially done with using Fitbit to track my runs!
1.3 miles in and it reboots again! I even reset it before heading out to prevent this from happening.
This ongoing issue has caused me to miss out on my goals in challenges and virtual road runs. And has thrown off my training.
I am now back to carrying my phone and using Runkeeper!!
I will miss only using Ionic for tracking and music... any one have another tracker they like for this let me know.

Ha ha. I guess I'm really lucky. My Ionic goes into pause mode during the middle of a run instead of shutting off. I become aware of this sometimes over a half hour later and the tracking of my workout is of course ruined. FitBit has never been a fully functioning company since I bought my $300. watch a couple of years ago. Problem after problem.
