Samsung s10e with fitbit ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung galaxy s7 edge to the Samsung galaxy s10e but it doesn't show this phone on the list of compatible phones. It only goes up to the s9 plus!

I don't get any notifications sent to my Fitbit now. Does anyone know if it is compatible or should I just return the phone under its 14 days guarantee? It's really frustrating as I wanted a smaller phone but I just assumed it would be compatible with one of the newest Samsung's. Thanks in advance. 🙂

It's great to have you here @Jessiej! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned and the research that you did regarding compatible devices.

Sorry to hear about the compatibility between your mobile device and Ionic. Just as you mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S10 isn't listed as a compatible device. This is why you're not receiving notifications in your Ionic.

In this case, you can either return your mobile device or you can keep an eye in the article of compatible devices, because Fitbit is always testing new ones and adding them to the list. However, I can't confirm when this will be added or if this one in specific will be in the list.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Thanks Silvia. It was really strange as the next day, my notifications started coming through. Therefore, it must be compatible as all is working as normal. 🙂

Hi I’ve just bought an S10e & it doesn’t seem to be pairing with the app & the Bluetooth finding my Ionic. How did you get yours to work?

Hiya,

I basically switched off bluetooth, Wifi & then restarted the phone. I didn't think it worked but the the next day, I started receiving all of my notifications on my Fitbit. Maybe try restarting the Fitbit too & hopefully that will work.

Let me know how you get on. 😊

Thanks for getting back @Jessiej. I'm glad to hear that your Ionic is syncing to your mobile phone.

Hey there @SunsetRunner. Besides to what @Jessiej  mentioned. You can try this set up troubleshooting. However, I can't confirm that this will work, because the phone that you're using isn't a supported device. Fitbit is always testing new devices and adding them to the list.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I am having the same problem, when do you plan to add the S10E? Please don't give the canned "we are testing new devices all the time"

Update: mine just synced, please let us know the date the S10E will be added.

Thanks,

Joel

Thanks for stopping by @tryder. I appreciate the research that you've done as you've checked the forums and noticed that the Samsung S10E isn't a compatible phone.

As mentioned in the posts before, our team is continuously working on adding new devices based in the feedback that you provide.

In the meantime, I would like you to try this syncing troubleshooting, this workaround may help you to get it syncing.

Your understanding is appreciated while more devices get added. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I am starting to think that your team doesn't really test new devices.  You have been repeating the same canned response for over a month.  Surely in that time someone could have gone out and bought some of the new phones and tested them. It really isn't that hard to do if you actually care to.

A warm welcome to the Community @gdbjr. We as Moderators are always updating threads with information that we receive from our team that testes new mobile devices.

It's always recommended to check the article that has been shared, before to confirm if the device that you want has been added to the list.

As always your understanding is appreciated.
