Screen Wake Not Working on Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi all,

I see various topics around issues with the Ionic screen not responding to the wrist flick. All these topics have been resolved with the answer ''turn screen wake on auto''.... however, mine is on auto, I have also put the Ionic back to factory settings to do a restart but the screen is still not responding to a wrist flick.

Besides that the Ionic works great, I can turn my screen on manually with the buttons which works well, so the screen itself doesnt seem to be the problem.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Maarten

@Maarten123 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you are experiencing with Ionic's Screen Wake feature. Thanks for factory resetting it.

By any chance, have you tried a regular restart on your watch as well?

You could also try turning Screen Wake off and sync your Ionic. Then, turn it back to Auto and sync. That could help as well.

As a last option, you could try changing the clock face on your watch. That could also help you out with this.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Try this and see if Auto works at all or is an intermittent problem.

1     Hold your wrist vertically and twist it

2     Hold your wrist horizontally and twist it

Your Ionic screen should turn on when it is in the horizontal position.

My Ionic does not turn on when my wrist is vertical.

Thanks for the reply. I have just tried all the suggestions but it still doesn't work. I have the idea that it might just be that something has broken in my Ionic.

This still doesn't work and is very frustrating.  When will you fix this issue??

Best Answer

Be cautious not to flick your wrist so fast because the ionics screen could very well fall off.

@TheoGianCarlo Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to report that you are also experiencing the same.

Please check if the Screen Wake is enabled on your watch. Press and hold the left button until it vibrates (around 3 seconds) and you will see the Quick Access settings. Swipe left or right to find Screen Wake and check if it is set to "auto".

If it is and it is still not working; please perform a restart on your watch.

Press the right hand button for a few seconds. Swipe right  from the left to right, doesnt do anything on mine. Not sure why the settings seemingly change themselves periodically.
