@sgtsween, you cannot set intervals in the Run exercise - if does not have the capability of recording a run time/distance (use Run stride length) and then recording a walk time/distance (use Walk stride length). The Interval Timer is the only option to set different times/levels.
Thanks, Larry. What I really need is just an alert at 4 minutes and 1 minute. It would not record the intervals. Just a prompt to "walk" and then one again to "run" and so on. This is available on my Garmin and the only thing I miss. I can run in interval trainer with GPS on and it'll track it like a run, but I can't access full data like pace etc as I can when it's in run mode.
I was hoping for this capability also. Was looking into the ionic, but currently have a Garmin 35 and rely on the run/walk interval alerts, but to be able to them within the "Run" function for the rest of the data.
Did anyone figure out if this is an option? Lots of half marathoner/marathoners want this option. It seems easy enough but is always left out.
