Since their still is no spotify app available.
I ripped some old cd's and put the mp3 on my ionic.
So when i want to run I can listen to it.
now I have the problem that sometimes the music stops, at least the sound.
so I press the right upper button, to go to the music app, and I see the music is still playing.
I can press next song, the next song starts playing, still no sound.
the app says the output device is my blue tooth headphone (airpods from apple)
If i pause the music, leave the playlist, select another playlist and select a song from their, the music starts playing again.
sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for half a hour, but then the same problem occurs.
sometimes the sound just falls away, sometimes the song first starts to crack (like the connections is bad)
I don't have any other problems with my airpods, not even on other non-apple products, so I don't see why i should blame theme.
anyone else has the same problem?

I have recently bought some Apple AirPods 2nd gen to use with my ionic. I was using the c25k trainer app and listening to music via the AirPods from my playlist. I didn’t have my phone with me so no conflict there. Half way through my run the music cut out. I couldn’t get it to play again and had to continue my run without music. I went into my settings on my ionic and it kept saying that it was connected to my AirPods still. I could get up the playlist and press play but it wasn’t doing anything, not even playing?! Very frustrating!

I have the exact same issue of music playing fine while standing still (ionic to backbeat FIT headphones) but when I start running the music cuts in and out.
I just chatted with Fitbit and was told this was a known issue, thus I am here replying. They told me they were actively working to come up with a solution but it seems this has been a long-standing issue. Shocking to me they would sell a product designed for activity but not test the connection while running.
I am not hopeful that I hear back soon and expect I will have to look for an alternative solution to meet my fitness needs (listen to music wirelessly while running, not asking too much!)

Fitbit told me that it’s a long standing issue too. When I looked on their community forums, it seems it’s been since at least 2017! I have now switched back to an Apple Watch and just wear a Fitbit Alta band to keep count on calories etc. It’s shocking Fitbit keep bringing out new watches etc without focussing on correcting the issue with the ionic and AirPods. It’s not like they are “cheap” so I wouldn’t think it was asking too much that I could wear my AirPods while running with the ionic!
