I finally bought a ionic. But to much of my disappointment. I cannot add sessions from my fitbit coach  subscription. Personally I  do not care about notifications. Music. Pay or any of the annoying extras I want FITNESS!

Fitbit. Please include the coaching items to the ionic. Or are you guys planning to add it once the ADIDAS model comes out? Because so far the Ionic is just like any charger hr. Hr2. Blaze. Force... Please help me keep the ionic. Otherwise is just a glorified Ultra. My suggestion  focus on what you do best! How could it be the watch. Does not even have a CARDIO application?

Missing: CARDIO, group exercise. Step. Hitt.soccer. Use some of the POLAR CONCEPTS. Is not hard. You guys have over 5 years of advantage use it.

Hi @Startfit,

That's a good question about Fitbit Coach. I don't know the answer though.

Not sure you mean by "no cardio application"? Is that in reference to Coach or the Ionic?

For the tracker, cardio is just getting the heart rate to a certain zone. It just needs to be logged under the Workout mode.  There is a Stair Climber mode for steps, and steps are counted regardless of tracking.  HIIT is there, under Interval Training (which is what HIIT is).

You may not be seeing these modes, because the Ionic can only store 7 of them at a time. You may have to remove one to add one of the ones above. It remains to be seen how this will fit in with Coach, but that's what you can do on the Ionic side of things.

Thank you for your response.
You are right about that, I think fitbit should call those modes
differently. When we truly analyze what everyday people will be doing with
the divice they should have the sports ready to either add them or create
them.
Sadly I did returned the ionic. Because I did not see any big difference
with my charger HR.
My main focus for the watch was fitness and training. No so much if I can
pay for a cup of coffee with the watch, I got back to my charger HR. For
the time being.

I feel that the Ionic does fitness and training fine. With the onboard music I don't need a phone nearby, which is really nice at the gym. It also has the always-on screen during exercise, which makes viewing the statistics easier.

It's great that the charge HR still fits your needs. Enjoy it!
