I’ve been for a run and the map

and time is showing on my Fitbit mobile app but it doesn’t show on the watch? It says no recent activity ? Can anyone help? Note when I checked the settings on the run app it showed Run detect as off? Is this the reason? Thanks

Have you been into the strava app settings on the fitbit mobile app and authorised it with your account?

You do this by pressing the account icon in the top right corner of the fitbit app - press on Ionic - apps - your apps - press the gear icon next to the strava app.

I can get my Strava account to update my rides on my FitBit account - good.

What I would like to do is to have Strava be able to recognise my Ionic as a Bluetooth device for the purposes of picking up my Heart Rate so I can see my Heart Rate in front of me when I ride, along with speed, distance etc.

I currently use a separate Polar Chest Strap to do this.

Or even have a separate Real Time Window as a FitBit APP on my phone so I can see my Heart Rate, speed, distance, calories etc

Hi ,thanks for responding. I have clicked on Ionic, then selected apps, then strava (presume clicking on the setting Icon. It shows as Auth state: not authorised. I have never used Strava before so I have signed up to it by adding in my email address and now the state says authorised.. Not sure if this is right ?

Yes that's correct, hopefully the strava app on your Ionic will now show previous runs and cycling.

There are two steps for new Strava users:

1. You need to authorize Fitbit servers to sync GPS tracked activities to Strava. That is done in a web browser using:

https://strava.fitbit.com/

This will not sync previous activities, only new GPS tracked activities recorded on Ionic or Fitbit app's MobileRun.

2. You need to authorize Ionic app to access Strava. That is done in Fitbit app.

Without step 1, a new Strava user that is only tracking with Ionic will have no Strava activities, and therefore Ionic app will show nothing.

@Nick180374 Point 2 was detailed by @N8teGee earlier in this thread. Sounds like you’ve already completed that step.
