Statistics summary on dashboard in average

I changed my phone from Samsung to iPhone recently. When I check my weekly or even monthly stats they are now given as average eg average steps or average distance. 

With samsung the statistics were displayed as total number of steps per week or in any given month. 

How do I change the display back to total instead of average?

There are some, hopefully relative minor, differences between the Android and iPhone apps, that are out of user control.  However, if you look at the fitbit.com dashboard, you can see totals for at least some of the stats.  You  could try looking at the Windows 10 fitbit app also if you access to that.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
