Hi all,
Question??
I haven't worn my fitbit all day but I've noticed it has recorded steps already.
Does anyone know what could be going on??
Cheers, Kay 😊🤙🏾

@NinzFit Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Good question, I've seen this before!
Most of the times, this happens when you leave your Fitbit device on a surface that "vibrates" or that "moves". For example, if there is a fan near that surface, that may cause some vibration that will track some steps. The same if there is any other thing like a cellphone vibrating or anything also that may cause this kind of movement.
Where did you left your Ionic during the time it counted steps?
That is why we also see some cases in which a Fitbit device will count some extra steps when driving. Bumpy roads will cause this. However, there is a way to delete those extra steps. It is about manually logging an activity as "Driving" during that period of time. Please check the steps on this post for more details.
Try that out and let me know how it goes! ![]()
