My ionic has started acting weird. I can leave it on the table next to my phone and watch the steps go up in bursts. The screen is often constantly on, and will go off for about 2 seconds before coming on again. Tried factory reset and removing iPhone steps. Problems started when updating to new iPhone 11. Any help much appreciated.

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

Thanks Wendy but no, it can be anywhere and still count steps. Just woke up and already done 40k steps today with my Fitbit on bedside table!
