How to get credit for all steps as daily goal?

You would have to explain what steps you don't think are being counted?

What is happening, when I walk for about 40 to 60 minutes straight I get credit for a daily goal of 5000. Go at 6 in the morning. If I am active during the day however not all at once and get over 5000 steps it does count in the daily goal.

By "daily goal", do you mean goal of steps per day?

If your steps during the day when you are active but not all at once get over 5000, I don't know how you could know you are over 5000 if the steps were not counting in the day's total steps.

 

Or are you maybe talking about getting credit for an exercise session or 'active minutes'?

Thanks for you help. My weekly goal is 4 days of 5000. If I go for a long
walk and I reach 5000 while I am walking it says I have achieved 1 of 4 of
days goal or 2 of 4 ect. If I don't go for a long walk and at random it
reaches 5000 for my daily goal it doesn't give credit of reaching 1 of 4 or
2 of 4 etc. It has to be all at once of achieving 5000. I hope this makes
more sense. I

I think you might be confusing two different types of goals.

One goal is total steps per day, apparently 5000 for you.  Those include any steps any time throughout the day.

 

There is a totally different goal of number of days per week with an exercise session, for you apparently 4 days. Those are the exercises you see if you tap on the 'days of exercise' tile on the phone app.  In this sense, an 'exercise session' is any exercise automatically recognized by the fitbit, probably your walks, or any exercise you record via the Exercise App.
