Storage for Ionic apps

How much space will be available for apps on the Ionic? Many reviews mention that 2.5GB of music can be stored on the unit, but I haven't seen anything about space for the apps that are going to be developed for the tracker.

Fenix 5 Plus. Previously Ionic and Surge. Google Pixels 3 and 5. Aria. Chromebook. Deezer and Audible.

Hi @pedris,

Good question. I haven't seen any official numbers on app storage. But since most apps are pretty small, and the app store for the Ionic will be newly launched, I can't imagine the Ionic running out of app storage.

Ionic has 2.5GB of storage that can be dynamically shared between the Pandora and personal music features. If you have previously loaded so much personal music onto your Ionic that you cannot fit any Pandora stations, you can delete the personal music using the mobile app:

Tap the Ionic tile. Tap Media > Personal Music. Select the option to clear all personal music (this only clears personal music, not Pandora stations).

Good question. I would also be interested to know.

I would imagine the 2.5GB is reserved exclusively for music, so apps would probably use the OS partition or at least some of it. I've not seen it mentioned anywhere though, so couldn't say how much would be available.

That would be dissapoiting if thats all it had.  Yea battery life is good.  But what the use if i cant have enough storage for apps.  Because size of apps would be dependent on type of app.  For example.  A golf app would take a lot of memory due to what has to do with courses gps and such.  Can a moderator weigh in and let us know?
