Strava app on Ionic won’t update data.

Hi, I have authorised the Strava app and fit bit app on both the Strava and Fitbit websites and my Fitbit ionic does sync and record a run to the Strava app on my iPhone etc. But my problem is, when I go into the strava app on the firbit it doesn’t display anything other than a message saying “no recent activity” but that is not the case as it does record a run to the Strava app, and also on the Fitbit app it says not authorised, although on both the Strava and Fitbit websites it is authorised.

whats up with this? What’s the fix? I want to see the map and stats on my Fitbit

Please can you help?

Hello @JamesUKrunner I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community. 

 

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment, I have moved your post from the iOS board to the Ionic board as this situation is more related to the watch itself than to the app. 

 

At this moment, my first recommendation will be restarting your Ionic by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. If after that, the data is not showing up in the Strava app, please go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Ionic > Apps and make sure Strava is fully updated. If it is, please sync your Ionic. Once synced, open the Strava app and let us know if the data has updated. 

 

Give these steps a try and if you need anything else, please let us know.

This doesnt work. 

The problem is that on the fitbit app on my phone, when you click into apps and go to strava and the gears setings, it says not authorised, you click authorise and it gets stuck in a loop going to the same page. 

 

Both strava and fitbit are both recording data and authorised on their websites, the fitbit app on my phone is at fault and also so is the Strava app on the ionic

On my phone my strava app is always a couple of months behind - for example, it shows 17 August as my last run, but I have done many runs since then, including today.  I have reset, restarted, checked app settings... cannot seem to make it work so that the runs on my watch app are updated????
