Swim time and active time

I swam laps for 30 minutes today, yet I only got 6 active minutes. Is there a reason my swimming isn't counting as active minutes? As one day a week my only working out activity is swimming laps I would like to at least get the active minutes credit on that day.

did it capture the activity at all? If it did, I would check to see what your HR was. If it didn't get into at least fat burn for a period of time, it won't give you active minutes credit..

Does it capture HR during swimming? I thought it doesn't...
