I suggest you search the threads. I've read of success with the S8 somewhere and also problems. There are enough posts on the matter if you look.

Initially I had no issues with my S8+, but I have noticed as the Fitbit app updates, the syncing isn't as good as it was in the past when I first got it. I am still playing with it, but once in awhile I have to force stop the Fitbit app and that helps. I do have All day sync turned off, but I have left Always connected on to see if that ensures notification still work.

Always connected/all day sync has no effect on notifications. Turn them off.

That's what I thought, but below the always connected it states it improved reliability of notifications, etc so I left it on. I have now turned both off to see if it works better.

Actually makes reliability of notifications worse imho combined with the other setting.

I have turned both off and i'll be watching it for the next couple days.  Today I got all my notifications (even gmail) so right now things are looking good
