Syncing Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hey guys,

Had issues when I got my Ionic three weeks ok and seemed to sort it out.

However, the past couple of days I have struggled to get this to sync and even change my clock face. I am using a Google Pixel XL, so could be the phone.

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Thanks!

Turn off always connected.

Turn off all day sync.

Reboot phone and watch.

You're done after a few manual syncs.

Clock faces are buggy avoid until next firmware update

Jeez, remind me not to post in here again!

Tried those, still won't work!

Tried adding my details to my signature before posting, when clicking update did nothing and don't have all day to sit trying it like I did three times. Oh, and I used a MacBook Air to do this using Google Chrome.

Sorry to be abrupt, just "another" one of those users that you branded me...

Well, at least search and read before you post, and then let people know what you’ve tried to do to rectify your issues.

Actually, I agree with NellyG and disagree with you as yours was the most useless post.

Fitbit Ionic, UK version, HTC U11. EU version.

The point I was trying to make @NellyG, without actually having a go at @Adam_W48 was that too many people post “help” posts without actually thinking of looking to see if someone else might just have had the same issue, and there might be a resolution, which, given forums are supposed to be a source of shared information, is bizarre. Repetition is repetitive 🙂 But granted I possibly could’ve/should’ve wrapped it up in CC cotton wool

Edited as original post was “removed”

Thanks @NellyG

Guys @SunsetRunner @SunsetRunner I want to apologise for coming across as a bit of an arse and rude in my responses.

It was a case of not enough sleep, overworked all week and the frustrations of all these elements of technology not working.

I now found out that the Ionic is faulty, hence why every method didn't work and I am now sitting wearing my replacement.

Happy Thursday and apologies again!

@Adam_W48 what has helped many, usually only 1 or 2 of these steps needed.

Reboot phone

Reboot tracker

Remove tracker from the phones Bluetooth,  not the fitbit app

Go into the phones settings, applications, fitbit, clear cache.

Try to sync between each step, next time start with that one.

@Adam_W48 regarding the issue you were experiencing, the suggestion from @Rich_Laue it is a good starting point for troubleshooting. I'm wondering how it went?
