I have tried the work arounds and they don't work for me. I cant update firmware because the device will not stay connected.
It seems like it syncs when it wants to but not when i hit sync.
Why does the device not sync on command?
Please do not thank me for my patience, I don't have any. I didn't buy an expensive device to have to spend hours to get it to do what you said it will.
I am so regretting this purchase, I had other options and clearly made the wrong choice.
How do I get a new tracker or an upgrade to something that works?

I have the same problem. It doesn't stay connected and it syncs when it wants to. If I want to sync it nothing happens. And the notifications doesn't work. And it doesn't want to connect to WiFi most of the time. I bought mine on Thursday last week. I used the whole weekend just to change the clockface and to make it sync with my Huawei p10.

I had an issue where it wouldn't sync or update at all once the upgrade notice popped up.
I fixed my issue by rebooting my ionic (hold left button + bottom right button) and once it rebooted, the Ionic sync'ed just fine and the upgrade started.

It's not about software update. It's about syncing... Obviously some of ionic born with this issue.

Same with mine I just want to return and get my money back spent way to much for nothing my son's starwars smart watch is better than this thing

Well, I was just trying to offer a positive thought to try and help you sync. That is what made my device sync.
