I have been moving off/on all day. Why then does my Fitbit not sync for 3hrs . Then when I try it takes forever. I try 1. Turning on and off my phone. 2 connecting it to phone. 3 uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. None of this helps. If it wasn't for weight watchers. I would have given up on Fitbit a loooong time ago.

What iOS are you using?  Android I know for a fact has been having a lot of issues.

 

You also might want to check to see if your device is on the "List Of Supported Devices".  Please keep in mind that this is not a complete list.  If you can load the app on your phone and play with it, then your device is supported.  This is just a list of the devices that have been tested and proven to work with Fitbit.
